A few observations and a repository of information for a small town in Hampshire County, Massachusetts _____________________________________________________________________________________________
Middlefield Town Web Sites: We have had three totally different town web sites in the last eight months. Fortunately, the old sites and extensive records are available on the Wayback Machine (Internet Archive). I have captured the link to the last scan for our two prior sites which contain that site’s latest documents. The new site https://middlefield-ma.com has dumped all the town records prior to 2023. The historical content is also gone. The only calendar listings are for Nov. 2023. I wonder how many town records are electronic only and subject to data loss? Be aware that eight recent (2022/23) Selectboard minutes were lost. I copied the eight agendas which might be the only extant record.
